Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup basmati rice


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 2 tbsp ghee


  • 1 bay leaf


  • 2 cloves


  • 1" cinamon stick


  • 2 broken green elachi


  • 2 tbsp sugar


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 2 to 4 cashew nuts sliced


  • 2 to 4 sliced almonds

Directions

  • Wash rice twice and soak for 1/2 hrs. Marinate the rice with ghee
  • Heat ghee. Add cumin seeds, cloves, green elachi, 1 bay leaf, cinsmon stick. Let it crackle for few minutes.
  • Add rice. Fry for few minutes. Add turmeric powder, gram masala powder, sugar.. Saute it for few minutes.
  • Then add water as needed. Close the lid amd wait for 2 whistle.
  • Once it is done. Transfer to a serving plate. Garnish with roasted dry fruits.
  • Ready to serve...with alor dum
